De Gotha Kapellmeister Gottfried Heinrich Stölzel is een van die Duitse barokcomponisten die, ondanks hun vaardigheid en onbetwiste muziekhistorische belang, om de een of andere onbekende reden geen renaissance hebben gekregen. Misschien is alles wat hier nodig is een discografische vonk, wat deze opname met György Vashegyi, het Purcell koor en zijn Orfeo orkest zou kunnen zijn. Het lijdensoratorium Ein Lämmlein geht und trägt die Schuld, gecomponeerd in 1731 op een libretto dat hij zelf schreef, werd ook gewaardeerd door Bach in 1734, die het uitvoerde in de Thomaskerk op Goede Vrijdag.
