Na Lars Vogts enorm populaire solodebuutopname van Bachs Goldbergvariaties op Ondine bevat de nieuwe solo-opname van de pianist geliefde pianowerken van Franz Schubert (1797-1828). De Impromptus D 899, Six German Dances D 820 en de beroemde Moments musicaux zijn geschreven toen Schubert op het hoogtepunt van zijn volwassenheid was en ze bevatten enkele van zijn bekendste stukken voor piano.
