Normaal gesproken treft men in de programma's van de gemiddelde kerst-cd alleen muziek aan uit de renaissance tot heden. Het is jammer dat het repertoire uit de Middeleeuwen en de vroegmoderne tijd grotendeels onopgemerkt blijft, want de middeleeuwse kerstmuziek uit Engeland die Gothic Voices ons hier voorschotelt is absoluut het aanhoren waard en: niet minder kerstsfeervol!
